For those of you who LOVE information, and you're intersted in what's in your food, then the website Nutritiondata.com is for you. The bulk of the information in NutritionData.com is from the USDA's National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, but NutritionData has powered up that information and made it A LOT easier for us to digest.
As mentioned, you can nearly find all the nutritional information of any food with this database, but then they also allow you to get detailed information on vitamins, minerals, sugar, protein, fatty acids, calories and more. Example: You can find out how much Omega-3 fatty acid is in strawberries...98 mg/cup.
In addition to having the ability to search for the 'nutrition label' for almost any food (and some fast food), NutritionData.com also has a number of special tools like Compare Foods, Nutrient Search, Caloric Ratio Search, and a Daily Needs Calculator to help you figure out how much calories and nutrients you need to ingest each day.
